Gaining feedback on your ALVA assignment
Feedback is an essential part of the learning process and you can expect to receive feedback on all work submitted for assessment.
- For work submitted via LMS you will usually receive feedback in LMS after marking is complete.
- Work submitted in hard copy in most non-studio units will be handed back in class or as specified by your unit coordinator. You will normally receive written feedback, and a mark, on your assignment.
- Students in studio-based units will receive at least one interim feedback form during semester along with a further feedback form after submission of their final folio.
Marked assessments submitted on time will be made available for collection by students at least one week before the next assessment in the unit is due (if it is related to the previous assessment), or no more than 15 University working days after submission, whichever is sooner.
Staff members are expected, upon request, to give you a clear explanation of the mark they have awarded your work. This explanation relates to the learning outcomes and marking criteria set for the unit. Staff members will also help you identify any weaknesses apparent in your work and suggest approaches to remedy these.
