Gaining credit as a postgraduate (MBA Flexible) UWA Business School student

Can I credit my prior study if I transfer from another institution to the UWA Business School as a postgraduate (MBA Flexible) student?

If you have completed a relevant post-experience postgraduate degree from an appropriately accredited institution in the last five years you may be eligible for advanced standing up to a maximum of 36 points (6 units).

If you have completed relevant units in a postgraduate degree offered through the UWA Business School in the last five years you may be eligible for advanced standing up to a maximum of 24 points (4 units). Credit will not be awarded for units in pre-experience programmes from other institutions.

Some Professional Qualifications and international short term programmes are also eligible for advanced standing. Such qualifications and programmes need to have an appropriate assessment regime to be considered for assessment.

A maximum of 36 points (6 units) of advanced standing can be awarded towards the MBA (Flexible).

All decisions regarding credit for prior study will be made on a case by case basis.

Note: students enrolled in the MBA Full Time, Graduate Certificate in Business, Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Graduate Certificate in Leadership or Graduate Certificate in Social Impact are not eligible for credit in those courses. Students completing one of these graduate certificates and subsequently enrolling in the MBA (Flexible) can claim credit in that course.
