Buying or hiring your academic regalia

Where do I hire or buy my academic regalia?

The University has appointed a preferred provider of academic dress - Phillips & Father; however, graduands may obtain academic dress from any supplier provided the academic dress complies with the University's Statute 11.

The information below applies only to graduands who choose to order their academic regalia through Phillips & Father.

Graduands can order their gown, hood and mortar board through the UWA On-line Academic Dress Ordering Service supplied by Phillips & Father. To log-in to the service use your UWA Student ID and enter your date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY in the password field.

All graduands are required to wear a gown, a hood and a trencher cap (often referred to as a mortar board). Academic dress prices vary according to the award that is being conferred. Full details are published on the Academic Dress Ordering Service website.

Academic dress ordered through the Academic Dress Ordering Service website can be collected on the day before your ceremony between 8.30am and 4.30pm, or the day of your ceremony between 8.30am and 4.00pm. In the case of a Monday ceremony, regalia should be collected on the preceding Friday and on the ceremony day from:
