Job application follow up and feedback

I have applied for multiple jobs but have not heard back, what can I do?
Applying for jobs is only part of the process. Following up and getting feedback is important for success in your job search. At the time of application find out from the employer the expected time lines so you will know when to follow up. If you have applied for multiple jobs, it is a good idea to keep a job activity sheet to track jobs and useful to record feedback. Calling rather than emailing the contact for the job enables you to ask any follow up questions on the spot. When calling ask the contact if they have time to speak with you. Ensure you thank them afterwards – you never know if you will meet them again.
