Taking your landlord to court - immigration issues

Will I have any problems with immigration if I take my landlord to court?

You will not have any problems with immigration if you take your landlord to court. Issues relating to Tenancy are covered by the Residential Tenancies Act or by ‘common law’. The Residential Tenancies Act and ‘common Law’ are not criminal laws. There are no recorded offences or deportations regarding tenancy issues.

If you still have concerns or are worried about any action taken, contact the Housing Office.
