Required text books

What text books do I need?

On LMS (the Learning Management System) you will find a unit outline for each of your enrolled units for the current semester. The unit outline will contain an overview of the unit and list your required and recommended reading.

You can also enter the unit codes for your enrolled units within the search facility of the Co-op bookstore:

  1. Go to Co-op bookshop website
  2. Click on "Find Your Textbooks"
  3. Use the search tool to find your institution (University of Western Australia)
  4. Filter by current semester
  5. Enter each unit code to reveal your book list

You will be responsible for organising your books and any materials you need. You don't have to buy everything on the list before classes start. Generally, it is a good idea to wait until your first lecture to see what the lecturers require you to have.

Books can be purchased new at the Co-op bookshop (ground floor, Guild Village) or second hand at the Guild Secondhand bookshop (second floor, Guild Village), which are both located on campus. You can also buy books online through studentConnect under the course and unit link after you have enrolled in your units. The Guild Texchange allows you to turn your old books into cash and save heaps on new textbook prices! All UWA students can BUY, SELL or SWAP textbooks online for free by using your student ID and Pheme password to get started.
