The PASS program explained

What is the PASS program?

PASS is a peer facilitated, student support program which is not compulsory but open to all students enrolled in the nominated units.

Each semester, the Business School offers these sessions for:

  • ACCT1101
  • ECON1101
  • ECON1102
  • ECON1111
  • FINA1221
  • STAT1520

PASS emphasises collaborative learning, where students work together to take an active approach to their learning. Studies have shown that students who regularly attend PASS achieve better marks, are less likely to fail and have a stronger ground-up understanding of unit material.

PASS will involve weekly, timetabled, one hour sessions where trained senior student PASS leaders will facilitate study sessions with small groups of students.
