Optimum time to go on Student Exchange
The best time for you to study overseas will depend on your UWA course requirements. Provided you meet the eligibility requirements including completion of the equivalent of at least one semester at UWA.
The first semester of the second year is the earliest that most undergraduate students will be permitted to go on exchange. You are encouraged to save broadening and elective units for any exchange period as they allow flexibility in your exchange study plan. It may be inadvisable to go on exchange in the final semester of your course if you need to complete a large number of core units, however your Faculty Advisor will be able to advise you given your specific degree and circumstances.
Postgraduate students should check with the Study Abroad Office and their Faculty Advisor for special academic requirements.
