The Law and Society, Criminology, and/or Business Law major/s are not required for entry into the Juris Doctor (JD).

The criteria for selection into the UWA JD via the standard pathway are:

  • a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and
  • the equivalent of a UWA Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5.5 (out of 7.0)*

Applications will be ranked based upon the GPA. Admission will be awarded to the highest ranked applicants who fall within the intake quota for that year.

*All completed tertiary studies will be used when calculating the GPA. GPA requirements are subject to change.

Further details and alternative entry pathways are set out on the program website.
