Students who are Australian citizens, permanent humanitarian visa holders resident in Australia or New Zealand Special Category Visa holders who meet the long-term residency requirements are eligible for SA-HELP.

Australian permanent residents (other than holders of a permanent humanitarian visa), New Zealand citizens and international students are not eligible for SA-HELP and cannot defer payment.
