Many units use UWA's Lecture Capture System (LCS). If a lecture is not being recorded the lecturer must let students know in advance. If LCS is being used, you can access the recordings through a link on the LMS via the box labelled Lecture Recordings or LCS (Lecture Capture System). You will need to login in with your Uni ID credentials to access the LCS recordings website called ECHO360. Recordings are captured, processed, and usually ready within 24 hours.

Each unit coordinator can decide where to post the LCS link in LMS. For example, they typically place it in the left-hand navigation menu for the unit, or they might include it in another content folder. If your unit is using LCS but you can't find the link, ask your tutor or unit coordinator for help.  

To download a recording on the ECHO360 page click the Download link for each lecture. This can be found by clicking the green button to the right of the lecture recording and selecting Download original.  

All lectures in recording-enabled teaching spaces at all of the University campuses are automatically recorded. All lecture recordings for the teaching period of a unit (e.g. a semester, a trimester, a summer intensive) are continuously available and downloadable through the University’s Learning Management System (LMS) for students enrolled in the unit, until the end of the Supplementary and Deferred Examinations period for that particular unit. If the lecture recording is not downloadable contact your Unit Co-ordinator as copyright issues may be the reason.
