You are not charged interest on your HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, SA-HELP and OS-HELP loan debt. On 1 June each year HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, SA-HELP and OS-HELP loan debts are indexed (according to a formula based on the Consumer Price Index).

For example, a debt reported for the 31 March 2021 census date will not be indexed until 1 June 2022.
