You are welcome to breastfeed anywhere on campus. We also provide Parents Rooms at the Reid Library, the Barry J. Marshall Library, and the J. Robin Warren Library for UWA students and staff.

The Reid Parents Room is located on the first floor of the Reid Library. It is equipped with two feeding booth chairs with inbuilt privacy, a kitchenette with fridge for temporary storage of milk and food, sink, microwave (coming soon) and hot and cold water. It also contains a children’s play area with playpen and toys.  A children's table, chairs, crayons and books are coming soon..

The Barry J. Marshall Library Parents Room is located on the first floor of the Barry J. Marshall Library. This room is equipped with two computers plus a screened-off area with comfortable chairs for breastfeeding purposes, a fridge for temporary storage of milk, and a children's play area.

The J. Robin Warren Library Parents Room is located on the ground floor of the J. Robin Warren Library. This private room is equipped with comfortable chairs for breastfeeding purposes, a fridge for temporary storage of milk, and a changing table.

You can request access to our Parents Rooms:
  • In person with your staff/student ID and accompanied by your child/children.
  • Email us providing staff/student ID and copies of either Medicare cards showing child/children's names, child/children’s birth certificate(s) or passport(s)
Access will be via Campus Card and will last for 12 months from the date of application. Please see library staff if you wish your access to be extended after expiry. A parent/guardian must accompany children under 15 at all times on campus. Parents/guardians should supervise use of equipment and toys in the Library Parents Rooms. Toys may not be safe for all ages.

The Early Learning Centre located on the Nedlands Campus also has a private Parents Room which is available to parents whose children attend the Centre.
