If you no longer wish to attend your ceremony, or you are unable to attend your ceremony, let the Graduations Team know via Email Us before your graduation ceremony. If you do not advise us prior to your ceremony that you are unable to attend your given ceremony, your award will be conferred in absentia.

Be sure to include the following in your message:

  • Student ID number
  • Full name
  • a statement that you:
    • are unable to attend your Graduation ceremony
    • want your award to be conferred in absentia
    • are aware that once your award has been conferred in absentia you will not be permitted to attend any future ceremony for this award
    • If your cancellation is as a result of COVID-19 and you don’t want to graduate in absentia, we will accommodate your attendance in the next round of graduation ceremonies. You will be required to provide a personal declaration stating that you have COVID-19, a screen print of a RAT test or PCR test outcome, or a message from WA health.

If you are experiencing any extenuating circumstances, or have any queries about attending your ceremony, contact the Graduations Team
