Turnitin explained

What is Turnitin?

Turnitin is web-based assessment software that supports online assignment:

  • release
  • submission
  • text matching
  • marking and feedback

Turnitin is a teaching and learning tool designed to support both students and staff in the advancement of better scholarship.

At UWA Turnitin is available through the Turnitin Direct Assignment tool in the Learning Management System (LMS).

Turnitin, when used in partnership with other academic integrity resources like STUDYSmarterAcademic Conduct Essentials (ACE) and Communication and Research Skills (CARS) helps you develop your skills and gives you a better ethical awareness of academic integrity.
