Core and option units explained

Some units within a major are compulsory and must be completed by all students undertaking the major - these are called core units.
Other units within a major can be chosen from a list of options - these are called option units.
Some majors are made up entirely of core units, but other majors allow you to choose from a selection of options. Most majors consist of some core and some option units.
For example: the Finance major has four core units and four option units. At Level 2, students need to complete the following:
