Aims of Career Mentor Link

The Career Mentor Link program matches industry professionals (mentors) with UWA students (mentees) to provide a fantastic opportunity for mentees to gain ‘real-world’ insights. Throughout this 6-month program, mentors share their wisdom to help mentees enhance their professional development.
Students (mentees) are encouraged to seek advice and information about their career direction and employment goals while mentors share their industry skills and insights and take an active interest in the career development of student.
The program aims to: prepare student for transitioning into the workplace, provide students with an industry perspective, help students build professional networks, broaden students’ knowledge of career options open to them and so much more.

Program timeline:
September/October: Expression of Interests Open
April: Mentees and Mentors matched
April/May: Welcome breakfast
June-September: Professional Development & Networking events (not compulsory)
October: End of Program
