Why you should register for an ORCID iD
Registering for an ORCID iD and then quoting your iD when publishing a paper, releasing a dataset or applying for funding will:
- Eliminate name ambiguities, ensuring all your research outputs are linked to your name and name variations.
- Allow the UWA Research Repository to find and match your research outputs more efficiently, saving you time.
ORCID identifiers are increasingly being required by:
- Journal publishers
- Funding bodies and
- University repositories.
The UWA Code of Conduct for the Responsible Practice of Research requires authors to include their ORCID in publications and to ensure that their ORCID iD is linked to their profile in the UWA Research Repository.
