In order to be placed with a host organisation, some students may require a current Police Clearance. In some cases, an international Police Clearance may be required. In addition, some roles may also require a valid Working with Children’s Check or a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check. If you are interested in working with young people it is best to obtain a Working with Children Check as early as possible.

Applications for Police Clearances and Working with Children Checks are available via Authorised Australia Post Outlets. An NDIS check can be obtained from the Department of Transport. Please be prepared to apply for necessary checks and clearances as soon as you accept an internship offer.
