Sir Eric Smart bequeathed funds to The University of Western Australia (‘the University’) to provide scholarships to assist and encourage a high-achieving student to undertake a master’s degree at the University with a dissertation relating to agricultural productivity in Western Australia. Sir Eric Smart was a pioneer cereal producer in light land around Mingenew and, at one point, was considered the world’s largest individual wheat grower.
