Applicable study:   To support and assist a commencing Indigenous student, who has accepted an offer of assured entry into the Doctor of Medicine (MD) through the Indigenous Pathway to MD, to successfully complete an undergraduate degree course and undertake the Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University
Closing date: 1 March 2019
Tenure: Undergraduate degree course:
  • a maximum of six semesters, which are normally consecutive
Postgraduate degree course (MD):
  • a maximum of eight semesters, which are normally consecutive

Offer rate: per Annum
Value: The total value of the scholarship is $55,000  which  includes—
$5000 per year for three years of an undergraduate degree course; and
$10,000 per year for four years of the MD.
 

 

The Godfrey and Ione Hester Indigenous Pathway Scholarship in Medicine was established by Dr. Vanessa Harvey in memory of her parents, to provide assistance to a commencing Indigenous student who has accepted an offer of assured entry into the course for the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) at The University of Western Australia (‘the University’) through the Indigenous Pathway to MD. The scholarship is to support and assist an eligible student to successfully complete an undergraduate degree course and undertake the Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University.
