Peter and Elizabeth Sarfaty bequeathed a sum of money to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to enable a fund to be established to provide scholarships to encourage and assist female students from disadvantaged backgrounds to undertake a Bachelor of Arts degree course at the University.
Elizabeth Sarfaty (born Wager, 1927) enrolled as a mature age student at the University in 1947 with her main interests in English and Classical Greek studies.
