Application Process

Selection Calandar for the 2020 scholarships

May 1 – July 14 Applications accepted for the 2020 John Monash Scholarships.
Late July Short listing: expert panels will review applications and recommend for interview by the State and Territory Selection Panels.

Aug-21 Skype Interview Panel for overseas candidates
Aug-22 Victoria Interview Panel
Aug-27 Skype Interview Panel for overseas candidates
Aug-28 Victoria Interview Panel
Aug-30 Tasmania Interview Panel
Sep-02 Queensland Interview Panel
Sep-04 Australian Capital Territory Interview Panel
Sep-06 Western Australia Interview Panel
Sep-09 New South Wales Interview Panel
Sep-10 New South Wales Interview Panel
Sep-23-24 The Melbourne National Selection panels
Sep-26-27 The Sydney National Selection panels 

These panels makes recommendations to the Board which will make the final selection of Scholars for 2020.

Applications will close 14th July 11.59pm AEST

Completed applications including referees must be submitted prior to closing.

Commencement of Studies

The Scholarships are granted for the commencement of a study programme in the calendar year following the year of application and selection.

To be eligible for the John Monash Scholarship you must plan on undertaking your postgraduate degree the year after application and selection. E.g. an applicant submitting an application in the 2019 calendar year, must be planning on commencing their studies in the 2020 calendar year (at any stage).

The selected 2020 John Monash Scholars are informed by the Foundation in October, and are publicly announced at a ceremony (Date TBC).
