Australia Awards scholars generally have the same employment rights as the other Student Visa 500 holders, which is employment of 48 hours per fortnight, with unlimited hours allowed during scheduled course breaks.
Scholars should always check the conditions shown on their e-visa.  They must ensure employment does not impact on the progression of their study, as their main priority should be the successful completion of their course.

It is recommended scholars not undertake employment in their first semester of study.  PhD scholars should seek guidance from Graduate Research School and supervisors.
