Application dates and instructions for the JD Legal Internship

How to apply for LAWS5174 Legal Internship in the Juris Doctor program?
LAWS5174 Legal Internship is a dedicated clinical program in the Juris Doctor (JD) course. Students have the opportunity to work in a legal environment for academic credit over a semester: in semester two, one day per week; or intensively over the summer. Students seeking a summer placement are required to attend the induction session and all seminars during second semester before commencing their internship. The students’ experience in their placements will be supplemented by regular seminars and ongoing support.

How to apply:
All students seeking to apply for the Legal Internship must:
  1. Complete the Expression of Interest form; and
  2. Provide a Curriculum Vitae of no more than 2 A4 pages.

Expression of Interest and CV due 9:00am, Tuesday 5 May 2020

Notification of placements Due to the volume of applications the application process is quite lengthy. Please be patient. Students will be notified whether they have been allocated a placement by late June 2020.
