What is a USI (Unique Student Identifier)?

A USI (Unique Student Identifier) is your individual education identifier. It creates an online record of your training attainments in Australia. A USI is for life.

If you're undertaking either nationally recognised training, or a higher education qualification, you need a USI as an Australian Government requirement, in order to receive commonwealth financial assistance (if applicable) and obtain your qualification or statement of attainment. A USI is a requirement for all tertiary students (domestic and international).

More information is available on the USI government website
