From 1 January 2021 onwards, new UWA students who are eligible will need a USI in order to qualify for Commonwealth assistance (Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) and/or HELP loan).

You are required to provide your USI through studentConnect under Personal Details then USI, before the unit census date relevant to the teaching period. 

All students (domestic and international) graduating from 1 January 2023 (including students who completed their study prior to 2023) are required to provide their USI (or exemption), prior to graduation. You can create a USI via the government website and enter it on studentConnect (Personal Details > USI).
