What is a Foundational unit?

Foundational units are core units that must be taken to complete the requirements of an undergraduate degree course, regardless of which major(s) you complete in that degree.
Undergraduate degrees courses can include these units. Not all degrees require students to complete foundation units.
You can check the Course Structure of your degree in the Handbook to see if your degree requires you to complete foundational units. For example, the Bachelor of Commerce requires students to complete these Foundational units.
