There are many ways to get proof of your vaccinations. Find the best one for you on the Australian Government Department of Health website.

You can find the easiest way to get proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations online. The information is available in different languages.

  • Step 1: To get a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, international students are required to set up a MyGOV account
  • Step 2: Once the account is created, it will take you to the home page. Click on the link to “Go to Individual Healthcare Identifiers Service”.
  • Step 3: You will have to verify this information using your passport number, name and date of birth. Remember to save the number for future reference.
  • Step 4: Once you are set up for an IHI, this should take you to a certificate issued by the Department of Health. Check to make sure all vacancies are entered.
If you cannot get proof of your COVID-19 vaccination online, you can use your Individual Healthcare Identifier and:
  • ask your vaccination provider to print a copy of your Immunisation History Statement for you
  • call the Australian Immunisation Register to have an Immunisation History Statement sent in the post. It can take up to 14 days to arrive.
This information is provided by the Australian Department of Health on their Getting a COVID-19 vaccine if you are not eligible for Medicare website.
