For full-time Doctoral candidates, submission of the thesis is expected by 3.5 years to enable completion of the examination process within the given 4-year candidature period.

For full-time MPhil candidates, submission is expected by 1.5 years to allow examination to be completed within the given 2-year candidature period.

Should you require more time beyond the maximum submission deadline, please lodge an Extension of Candidature request before progressing the examination forms any further. If you are a fee-paying international student or do not have additional scholarship entitlements, there will be fee implications when you extend your candidature time limit or when your thesis submission is approved past the maximum submission date.
