Yes, all Research and Development (R&D) activities undertaken by a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) student with an external organisation need to be reported to the Graduate Research School (GRS).

 

Research internships and embedded R&D activity with an external organisation must be documented in a written agreement signed by the parties (HDR student, partner organisation and UWA) and reported to the Department of Education via the GRS. It does not impact on completion of your studies and RTP scholarship stipend holders may be eligible for extension of stipend. When certain conditions are met, this can also yield increased funding return to the university and your School to support more HDR scholarships in the future.

If you have completed an approved R&D project as a research internship, please download and complete the Summary Report template, saved with your student Id & name.
