Supplementary assessments are available in the following circumstances:
Academic Ground
You have a course WAM of 55% or higher
AND
obtained a mark of N+ (45 - 49%) in the unit overall, or
obtained a mark of FC (failed component) in the unit overall and 45 - 49% in the failed component
Concession Ground (last unit of course)
It's the last remaining unit in your course
AND
obtained a mark of N or N+ (40 - 49%) in the unit overall, or
obtained a mark of FC (failed component) in the unit overall and 40 - 49% in the failed component
Other conditions also apply, these are:
- you must not have an academic misconduct finding in the unit
- the unit must offer a supplementary assessment - to check: see the 'Assessment' section in the Unit Description in the UWA Handbooks, it will clarify: Students may be offered supplementary assessment in this unit if they meet the eligibility criteria; or Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit
- if you are in a course being taught-out, core units offered for the last time at UWA may meet Concession Grounds
- N (0 - 39%) is not eligible for supplementary assessment
Refer to the University Policy on Assessment (UP15/5) for full details on Supplementary Assessment.
If you are granted a supplementary assessment you will receive a grade of 'SG' and are notified by student email on or shortly after the official release of results. If your results are released in studentConnect and you think you should have received a supplementary assessment - check with your Student Office.
