Access UWA’s subscribed content quickly and reliably online by using LibKey Nomad, a simple-to-use browser extension.
LibKey will activate on websites like Google Scholar, PubMed and more to quickly connect you to full text in one click. If you hit a paywall on a publisher website LibKey Nomad will instantly check for full text availability from UWA and present you with the best and fastest link to download the PDF, view the article, or put in a Get It request.
Add the LibKey Nomad browser extension (in Chrome, or Firefox, Edge, Safari, Vivaldi or Brave) to access full text content when browsing online. Select University of Western Australia when prompted. If full text is available via UWA, a Download PDF button will pop up. LibKey Nomad is installed by default on UWA-managed computers (ie; UWA staff laptops).
LibKey also activates a helpful message on some selected websites, such as newspapers, to assist you to access UWA Library’s full text subscription through OneSearch.
LibKey Nomad browser extension works with your UWA ID and does not require creation of a separate personal account. Your credentials are not captured, your usage is not tracked, and there is no resharing or selling of your data with other services.
