In 2024, many of the computers in labs and libraries across our campuses will be gradually removed to allow for virtual access to UWA’s systems and applications. All students are required to bring their own device to campus to access UWA’s systems though a web-based virtual desktop.

The virtual desktop can be accessed from anywhere at any time, both on campus and from remote locations. This will create a better user experience with greater flexibility, faster access to specialised software, and more reliable upgrades to UWA’s systems.

The virtual desktop is accessible from personal devices running Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.

A limited number of computers will remain in some labs and libraries should you need access to specific programs for your studies. Visit our website to learn more.
