The purpose of a WIL unit is not just to secure an internship and experience whilst you study - you will also further develop invaluable careers skills helping to build your professional presence ready for the real-work world such as resume and cover letter writing, interview techniques, time-management and working as part of a team or autonomously.

You will also get credit for the WIL unit and gain work experience relevant to your degree before you graduate, preparing you for when you enter the workplace in your field of study.
