Finding internships if you are an international student

How do I find internships if I am an international student?

There are a number of ways international students can find internships:

  • Jobs, work experience and internships are advertised on Career Hub.
  • You can talk to employers at the Careers and VIVE fairs to discuss internship opportunities.
  • Search employer websites to see if they have offer vacation internships to students.
  • Ask people in your network to see if anyone knows of any internship opportunities. Your network includes family, friends, work colleagues, other students and lecturers.
  • Check jobs boards in your home country such as China Grad Search Portal or Graduan

If you are finding it difficult to find an internship, you can make an appointment with a Career Adviser by attending an initial triage drop-in. These drop-in sessions run Monday to Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm.

Alternatively, you can call the Careers Centre on 6488 2258 to discuss your enquiry and book an appointment.
