What if I am not successful in securing any of my preferences for a WIL internship?

Depending on the uptake of internships, we may run a second Internship Board where you can apply again. The Placement Coordinators may also consider you for other roles that match your skills and experience, and if so, they will contact you for permission to share your application to additional hosts and opportunities.

If you are a student in your final semester, the WIL Team does try to ensure you secure an internship so as not to affect your ability to graduate, but there is no guarantee. To increase your chances of securing an internship, we also recommend considering self-sourcing an internship. If you are not successful during a specific teaching period, you are welcome to try again in the following intake period.

All students are strongly advised to enrol in a back-up unit in case they are not successful in securing an internship. You can also consider finding your own internship through the self-sourced process.
