Arriving late or missing Orientation

What happens if I arrive late and miss Orientation?

Students who miss the formal orientation period in O-week (Monday 19th Feb - Friday 24th Feb Sem 1 2018 and Monday 23rd July - Friday 29th July Sem 2 2018) will be required to attend late orientation activities held during Link Week. Link Week is held in Week 2 of each semester and offers a number of events where you can get up to speed with information provided during orientation by joining activities with other new students to help you connect with relevant UWA Student Services.

If you would like to make an appointment with someone to bring yourself up to speed on Orientation before Link Week, you can book an appointment with one of our Student Transition Advisers by calling 6488 3988.

If you are arriving late, it might also be a good idea to request a UniMentor. A UniMentor is a current student from your Faculty who will be able to show you around the campus and help get you settled in. Don't forget to visit the UniMentor Help Tent which will be set up in the Student Central Courtyard during Week 1. This is a central spot providing help and support in your initial weeks of starting Uni where you can get information about Student Services, pick up giveaways, get help with physical directions to venues and ask general questions.
