The experience and rights of LGBTI people at UWA

I am gay. Will I be treated equally on campus?

The University of Western Australia is committed to providing leadership and vision in the areas of diverse sexualities and genders, and actively supports staff and students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex (LGBTI). UWA has a policy of non-discrimination included in the student charter.

You can contact the Pride Department of the Guild which is committed to providing a safe place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, questioning and queer students at UWA. You can visit the Pride Department located on the second floor of the Guild Building, email them or phone 6488 3902 for further information.

The Ally network also provides support for both UWA staff and students.
