Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is insurance to assist international students meet the costs of medical and hospital care which they may need while studying in Australia. OSHC will also normally pay for limited pharmaceuticals and emergency ambulance services.

As an international student, you are required to have OSHC from the time you arrive in Australia. It is an Australian Government visa regulation that all Student Visa holders must obtain and be registered for OSHC for the full duration of their student visa.
