Completing GCRL1000 if you are a Bachelor of Philosophy (Hons) student

Do I have to take the unit GCRL1000 (Global Challenges, Research and Leadership) if I am a Bachelor of Philosophy (Hons) student?

If you are a school leaver who has just finished year 12, GCRL1000 is compulsory as it contains information that assists in navigating university studies as well as skills specific to research.

If you are a transfer student, GCRL1000 is optional as you may already have some of the skills covered in the unit (e.g. referencing, project proposals). You can choose whether to attend GCRL1000 or not, depending on what skills you have and how it fits into your timetable.

Note: GCRL1000 is different from the research unit GCRL2000, which is compulsory for all students.
