Special Collections and Archives Access

How do I access Special Collections and Archives?

Special Collections is located on the 2nd Floor of the Reid Library, and may be consulted on request between 1:00pm - 4:00pm on weekdays by anyone with an interest in the material.

Materials from the collection can be located in OneSearch and must be read in the Special Collections reading room. Photographic ID is required, material is not for loan and can only be photographed. Some of the collection requires permission to view and we encourage you to contact us in advance of your visit. Special Collections main subject areas are rare materials, Australian Literature, Indian Ocean Maritime History and UWA publications. You can contact Special Collections via email.

The University Archives is responsible for the collection, storage and preservation of records of permanent value, and for making them discoverable and accessible in accordance with the State Records Act 2000. For archives queries please email University Archives.
