Under the ‘Restricted access’ section in your Certificate of Final Thesis form, select the portion of your thesis the restricted access request pertains to and indicate an expiry date.

A thesis, work or appendix will normally only be restricted for up to two years if it contains confidential material, if it was a condition imposed by the owner of private records and material used by the candidate, or if the candidate was in an employment or other contractual relationship with a third party that made the restriction a condition of the contract. If you are unsure, please discuss this with your supervisors.

If you are requesting an extension to a current embargo on your thesis, please contact us via askUWA at least a month before the expiry date to obtain an extension form.
