Why have I received an electronic Commonwealth Assistance Notice (eCAN)?
You have received an electronic Commonwealth Assistance Notice (eCAN) on your studentConnect due to institutions legally being required under the Higher Education Support Act (2003), to provide a Commonwealth Assistance Notice to all students who have obtained HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, SA-HELP or OS-HELP assistance and/or who are Commonwealth supported students.
eCANs contain important information about your:
- Study load [pre 2012 Student Learning Entitlement consumption expressed as unit weight or EFTSL (Student Learning Entitlement was abolished as of 1 January 2012)].
- Fee liability and HELP debt and
